Stay Safe, Even in the Festive Season

Durga puja, the biggest festival of West Bengal is knocking at our door. However, this year has been a little different. Since the beginning of 2020, COVID 19 has kept us busy and scared at the same time. That is why the excitement in Bengalis about Durga puja is not that huge this year.

But still, a large number of people are busy shopping and they are planning about pandal hopping too. Experts are scared that the second wave of Corona can strike because of the crowd.

I can understand the emotion of devotees. That is why I request all to fight the battle against Corona together. Here are some tips.

If you are starting for shopping, try to avoid being in a group. Don’t hit the market with a large group of companions.

If you are brand conscious, then try to shop online. This will let you stay away from the crowd.

Rather than visiting shopping malls, try to buy things from small independent shops.

Do not eat at crowded restaurants or food joints. You can opt for takeaway counters for outside food.

Always carry your water bottle. Try to avoid having soft drinks or flavored water from the street vendors.

Do not forget to carry a tiny bottle of sanitizer with you.

Keep on wearing face mask no matter what. Always remember, now it is our responsibility to keep ourselves and others safe. To protect all, we need to follow all the safety precautions as advised by the administration.
